Our work

One institution. Many pathways. A single system.

Five connected engines and a growing family of initiatives. Research informs learning, learning becomes field projects, field projects create evidence, and evidence improves the next programme.

The OnPurpose Futures system Five engines radiate from one origin: Culture Engineering, complete-person education, community development, social value, and research and systems change. Initiatives sit along each engine: research and diagnostics; the Academy and Fellowship; Project 100,000, Purpose Clubs and the OnPurpose Tour; the Social Value Studio; Futures Labs and ACES. One origin, five engines. Concentric rings mark the levels of change: individual, group, institution, community, system.

01 Five engines

Connected engines, not isolated projects.

Academy learning informs field projects. Field projects create evidence. Evidence improves the next programme. Each engine is strongest when the others are working.

02 Initiatives index

Find the work that fits what you can bring.

Filter by who you are, by engine or by status. Every initiative carries a label that says honestly where it stands today.

03 Programme journey explorer

From research to results you can check.

Choose a programme and follow it stage by stage: what we research, how it is designed, how it is piloted and delivered, how it is measured and when it is ready to grow.

Stage content follows OnPurpose Futures' organisational profile and Project 100,000 profile (October 2026). Timings are proposed, not completed milestones.

How each programme is measured

Programme measurement register: primary outcome and measurement method for each programme
ProgrammePrimary outcomeMeasurement method and cadence
CE 101Demonstrated introductory Culture Engineering competencies and ethical field application.Pre/post assessment; project rubric; mentor review; completion plus 3-month follow-up.
Homo CompletumImproved purpose clarity, relational capacity and action planning.Validated or adapted reflection rubric; baseline and endline; 3- and 6-month self-report with safeguards.
Purpose ClubsSustained student participation and responsible local leadership.School-verified club register; attendance; termly activity audit; 6- and 12-month continuity.
Project 100,000Meaningful engagement with purpose materials and onward learning.Distribution logs plus receipt validation; opt-in follow-up; club and course conversion.
OnPurpose TourIncreased awareness and uptake of ongoing development pathways.Event logs; feedback; opt-in follow-up; onward participation.
Social Value StudioClient and community outcomes against contracted objectives.Baseline; partner dashboards; milestone verification; outcome review; final report.
Futures LabsSolutions tested, improved and adopted by partners.Pilot protocol; user feedback; outcome measures; adoption and cost assessment.

04 Initiatives in detail

Local action. Continental ambition.

Each initiative connects learning to a school, a community or an institution, and to evidence of what changed. Programme names describe our portfolio and planned delivery; none of them is a claim of completed reach.

Purpose Clubs

A club can sustain what a single event cannot.

Purpose Clubs are extracurricular, school-approved and teacher-supervised communities where young people explore purpose, character, personal leadership and service together.

  • RhythmOne 45–60 minute supervised session a week during term.
  • LeadershipStudent roles rotate each term: convener, learning lead, service lead, media lead and inclusion lead.
  • CurriculumTwelve modules across four arcs, from “Discover yourself” to “Act and contribute”.
  • ServiceOne community-improvement project each term, chosen with students and local beneficiaries.
  • SafeguardsA signed school partnership, a teacher patron and a designated safeguarding contact before any club begins.

Campaign poster on a deep maroon ground: “Bring a generation into the story.” Two young people sit facing each other in conversation on a stage. Text explains that Project 100,000 is building a purpose-driven generation across Africa through books, Purpose Clubs, mentorship and growth pathways, with the call “Partner with us”.

OnPurpose Tour

The door into the movement.

School and community engagements that introduce purposeful living, Culture Engineering and practical social responsibility through talks, workshops and participatory activities.

A Tour visit is designed as a beginning, not a performance. Assemblies, workshops, book drives and campaigns each hand on to something that lasts: a Purpose Club launch, a learning pathway or a student-led project. We measure it that way too, through event logs, feedback, opt-in follow-up and onward participation, not attendance alone.

  1. Assembly or talk
  2. Workshop
  3. Book handover
  4. Club invitation

Earlier campaign materials use the spelling “On Purpose Tour (OPT)”. Both refer to the same programme.

ACES

Africa Culture Engineering Summit

A convening and knowledge-exchange platform where researchers, practitioners, institutions, funders and African change-makers share evidence, test ideas and build partnerships around Culture Engineering.

  • Who it is for. Researchers, practitioners, institutions, funders and change-makers.
  • What it does. Shares evidence, advances the discipline and forms partnerships.
  • How to take part. Join the ACES ecosystem as a research, institutional, sponsorship or delivery partner.

No ACES event has taken place yet. Dates and venues will be announced here once confirmed.

Futures Labs

Where responses are co-created and tested

Applied research and design spaces in which young people, researchers and institutions co-create, pilot and evaluate responses to community and cultural challenges, then improve what works before anyone scales it.

  • Method. A pilot protocol, user feedback and outcome measures from the start.
  • Success. Solutions tested, improved and adopted by partners.
  • Evidence. Adoption and cost assessment before replication.

05 African futures map

Nigeria first. Africa by evidence.

Nigeria is our first repeatable learning environment, not a universal template for 54 countries. Each further step is earned through readiness checks, local partners and evidence of benefit.

Planned

Urban and rural pilot clusters across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones, with separate in-school and out-of-school tracks from the outset.

  • North-West
  • North-East
  • North-Central
  • South-West
  • South-East
  • South-South

Project 100,000 profile, §13 (proposed market-entry sequence). A country launches only after documented readiness checks: safeguarding, partner capability, law, language and programme economics.

06 How delivery works

Local carriers. Shared standards.

An Africa-wide ambition built through local relationships and accountable execution. Youth corps members, volunteers, school partners and programme staff form one accountable network.

  1. 01

    Partner

Identify priority regions, community needs and suitable institutions. Agree scope, consent, safeguarding and local responsibilities with schools and communities.

  2. 02

    Train

Recruit field associates, including eligible youth corps members and volunteers, and enrol them in foundational learning such as CE 101 and safeguarding training.

  3. 03

    Mobilise

Equip and supervise associates to establish Purpose Clubs, coordinate activities and support Project 100,000 delivery.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Run sessions, distribute materials and support student-led service projects under trained adult oversight.

  5. 05

    Document

Capture participation, programme quality, safeguarding incidents, distribution records and outcome evidence through approved tools.

  6. 06

    Improve

Review results with local stakeholders, improve the model and support continuity or responsible replication.

Culture Engineering Associates

Coordinate field communication, training participation, school relationships, learner projects, events, materials and reporting.

Culture Engineering Assistants

Support volunteers, data quality, documentation, communication channels and media asset management.

School focal persons & trained volunteers

Provide local continuity between visits and across school terms.

Central programme leadership

Accountable for standards, funding and oversight.

Safeguarding before activity. No field activity involving minors proceeds without safeguarding policies, screening and training, school permission, clear reporting routes, consent for photographs or video and restricted access to personal data. Read our commitments.
